Erie City Council Doubles Rebate on Burress Addition Lots
In an effort to encourage growth, the council voted to double the rebate incentive for lot
purchases in the new Burress Addition for a limited time from $3,000.00 to $6,000.00.
The increased rebate incentive is available through June 30, 2012 and is limited to one lot per person. The rebate incentive is set up for the purchaser to buy a lot at the full price of $12,000.00 and if a home is built within 2 years on that lot, the purchaser will receive a rebate of $6,000.00. They lose the rebate if a home is not built within the two years.
Any additional lots purchased or any lot purchased after June 30, 2012 will revert back to the $3,000.00 rebate incentive. The new homebuilder incentive package that allows up to $2,500.00 in city services for water and sewer taps and electric meter installation still applies to all new homes built in the Burress Addition as well as anywhere within the city limits.
For full details and information, contact city hall at 244-3461 or the city website
at erieks.com. More information on the Burress Addition (restrictive covenants, plot diagram, new homebuilder incentive package) can be found here.

New Rocks in Town
Anybody notice the new rocks along the highway in front of the First Christian Church? This project can be credited to the Erie Chamber of Commerce, the First Christian Church, and Tim Zeigenbein. They all worked together to get these rocks in place.
The lettering is still to come, but soon we will be able to welcome all to our great town!
