2008 Bean Night Entertainment Announced ERIE - It has been announced that American Country Music singer Daryle Singletary will be the entertainment on July 18th (Bean Night) on Main Street. Daryle has recorded seven albums, and has charted more than a dozen singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. |

• 1,400 Great Northern navy beans • 125 pounds of bacon • 50 pounds of onions • Water, as needed • Salt and pepper to taste • At 7 a.m., wash and soak the beans. Hang 53 cast-iron kettles on steel-pipe cooking racks. Divide the beans among the kettles and add other ingredients. • At 11 a.m., ignite wood kindling underneath the kettles, adding wood as needed. • Cook until 6 p.m. and then serve. |
