Erie Area Chamber of Commerce
"The mission of the Erie Area Chamber of Commerce shall be to represent the business community of the Erie area in the development of goals and programs, which will improve economic well being of our citizens and preserve and improve our quality of life."

2nd Annual Chamber Diner Was A Night Full of Laughs
Mr. Walter Keener, Human Resources Director of Powerflame in Parsons, was the guest speaker at the second annual Erie Area Chamber of Commerce Diner. He is a nationally recognized speaker who focuses on adding humor and reducing stress in the workplace. The name plate on his door reads "Humor Resources", and he is true to his word. Walter was very interactive with the audience, and it made for an really enjoyable evening.
Richey's Rexall was named 2008 Business of The Year. Pictured are owners, Steve & Ann Smith.
Carol Harris of White Plumbing and Electric was named Chamber Volunteer of The Year.
Chamber of Commerce Makes Decisions on Streetscape Items
The Erie Area Chamber of Commerce held their monthly meeting on June 11th at the Brickhaus. Holly Powers, Engineering Tech from Landwork Studios in Olathe, was there to go over options on the Main Street Streetscape project. The Chamber needed to decide on items so they could be presented to the city council for approval. After much discussion, the chamber approved the use of:
Trees: A mixture of Armstrong Red Maple's and Spring
Snow Crabapple's.
Benches: Teak Benches
Light Poles: Stresscrete concrete poles (Rosewood color)
Luminarie: Satellite Sr. Pendant (Smokey Grey color)
Light Arm:
Planters: WausauTile Pedestal Flower Pot (weatherstone charcoal color)
